A vigorous, fleshy herb, the SPIDER LILY carries a multitude of buds upon a tall stately stem.
Opening successively the flowering is extended over many weeks. It is a common plant along the beaches and easily recognised by its long strap-like foliage.
It often grows as a solitary plant but does form dense clumps. Flowering occurs during spring and summer. The seeds strike very easily and this plant is particularly suited to damp areas in light soil and beach front gardens.
