The ripe berry-like fruits are eagerly sought by birds, particularly the MISTLETOE BIRD (Dicauem Hirundinaceum).
Because of the excessive stickiness of the fruit, birds understandably play a major role in the dispersal of mistletoe.
Flowering commences during Autumn and continues intermittently for many months.
