Slender Bindweed - Ipomoea gracilis - Photo by Bill Hinton

Wild pigs dig up large areas in search of the small tuberous roots.

The unusual colouration of the foliage and the large flower makes this an interesting plant. It is remarkable that a vine so small and fragile can sustain such a large flower.

SLENDER BINDWEED has two colour forms; one is mauve, the other is white. The small globular capsules contain many tiny seeds.
