Found in the open forest of Cape York Peninsula this spectacular mistletoe makes a magnificent display.

The large, reddish, conspicuous bracts are the unusual feature of this species.

Normally mistletoe cannot be encouraged as a garden specimen but one could be forgiven for wanting to accommodate just one plant of this species.

Flowering occurs during summer.
