MARSHWORT is another fof the beautiful aquatic plants inhabiting the freshwater ponds, lakes and slow flowing streams of the tropics.

It is a floating plant with thick-textured leaves resting upon the water. The delicately fringed flowers sometimes appear without the yellow centre, rendering them pure white.
Typical of the genus Nymphoides, the flower stalks bend into the water after flowering and so the fruits ripen submerged.
