It is a very ornamental tree with Shining, prominently veined leaves; small, fragrant creamish white flowers and large red ovate fruits.

It has abundant milky sap and the Aborigines considered the fruits to be poisonous. In our observation flowers and fruits appear for most of the year.

Seed germinate very readily and seedlings progress quickly. It should prove to be a highly successful addition to seaside gardens.
