Considered an endangered species in Australia, necklacepod is a legume with distinctive yellow flowers and seed pods.
The seed pods are constricted between seeds, giving them the appearance of a string of beads. Foliage has a silvery appearance and the flowers are a rich yellow.
It grows along beaches from northern NSW to New Guinea but some populations in NSW have now disappeared. Pressures on the plant are from recreational use of the beaches and in being out competed by invasive species.
Also known as just Necklacepod or Silverbush
