Often just referred to as "Figbird", the Australasian Figbird is the only Figbird in Australia.

As with most birds, the male is the most colourful, with yellow-olive body and red around the eye. The female is a drab, mottled brown.

Their diet consist mainly of fruit, however they will also eat small insects.
