Small, tide affected, concrete boat ramp suitable for small craft
This boat ramp is suitable for accessing the upper reaches of the Daintree River. It is also where some of the Daintree River Cruises operate from, so access may be a little restricted at times when tours and tour buses are dropping off.
At low tides, the ramp may be too shallow to use. There is a small wooden jetty here, but it is fixed so using it at low tide can be a problem.
Remember that there are still very large crocodiles this far upstream, so care must be excercised when launching or retrieving boats. A large 5m crocodile is often spotted from the jetty.
